The Houston-Louis Stokes STEM Pathways and Research Alliance (H-LSAMP) is a student success driven partnership among the National Science Foundation, Texas Southern University, Texas State University, and the University of Houston (Downtown, Central, and Clear Lake).
Our primary goal is to significantly increase the number of traditionally underrepresented students earning baccalaureate degrees in STEM fields and prepare these students for graduate study and professional careers.
As institutional and program collaborators since 1999, H-LSAMP was designated as a STEM Pathways and Research Alliance in 2019. While continuing our undergraduate emphasis on recruiting, training, and graduating top students, our alliance also emphasizes preparing students for graduate school and the scientific and technical workforce.
